Nicole L. Mason, Esq., Founder & Managing Member

Nicole L. Mason, Esq., is an experienced and diligent lawyer with an extensive background as a prosecutor, government officer, private practitioner, in-house general counsel, corporate executive and board director. Clients turn to Ms. Mason when they need a lawyer who is capable of providing sound counsel to them as they are faced with challenges. They know that they can rely on Ms. Mason to protect their interests as their counselor and attorney at law.  

A native of Nebraska, Ms. Mason grew up in the Midwest. She earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology at Doane University in Crete, Nebraska.  While at Doane, Ms. Mason worked for an area non-profit helping children who had been abused, neglected, and homeless achieve safety, stability, and enduring relationships. Upon her graduation from Doane, Ms. Mason worked for a government entity to assist the Court in providing offending youth with resources, experiences, and opportunities to become socially responsible, successful, and law-abiding citizens. While serving as a mediator for business and domestic disputes, Ms. Mason became interested in pursuing a career as a lawyer. She attended Charlotte School of Law, where she was also the Publication Editor for the Center for Experiential Education and Entrepreneurship. 

Upon graduation from law school and passing the Bar, Ms. Mason became an Associate Attorney at a small general practice law firm in Nebraska. She also served as Deputy County Attorney and Deputy County Coroner for a Nebraska community. While an Associate Attorney, Ms. Mason routinely handled business law, family law, civil litigation, and estate/trust law cases for clients. As a prosecutor, Ms. Mason gained valuable courtroom experience as she handled misdemeanor and felony cases. Her record as a prosecutor included assisting the Nebraska Attorney General's office with an investigation and successfully obtaining a lengthy sentence for a defendant in a child pornography case. 

Prior to establishing Mason Counsel Group, LLC, Ms. Mason served as executive vice-president and general counsel for a closely-held corporation. In that position, she was responsible for compliance, developing outside counsel relationships with major global firms, building relationships with former members of Congress and former White House officials, and routinely advising management and the Board of Directors. In less than a year, she rose to become vice-chairman of the Board of Directors and concluded her tenure as senior deputy chairman. Ms. Mason has experience in building companies with a social impact mission. While she was chairman, Ms. Mason helped oversee the company's evolution into businesses focused on community revitalization. 

Ms. Mason is very active in the community. Currently, she is the chairman of the governing Board of Directors for Community Medical Center in Falls City, Nebraska. She She is the former president of the Board of Directors for The Resolution Center (serving a regional 16-county area in Nebraska), former vice-president/secretary for Falls City Area Jaycees, former Entrepreneurship Committee member for Stronger Economies Together/Partnership for Progress, and was the committee chair for the Splash Pad Project of the Falls City Chamber of Commerce and the Main Street-sponsored Lane Leadership Program. Aside from her law firm and community involvement, Ms. Mason is an advocate for mental health and wellness. She is a certified hypnotherapist and certified in Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT). In 2022, she founded, Mason Wellness Group, LLC to provide personal, executive and corporate wellness services. Ms. Mason is committed to serving clients by delivering world-class counsel and connections to help them succeed the right way in their lives and businesses.
